 The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department is responsible for emergency response to fires, medical services and disaster management for the City of Toledo and surrounding community. The department consists of two city employees and approximately 40 volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer fire fighter please call 541-336-3311. The Fire and Rescue Department does not remain open when an emergency is in progress. If you find the department closed when you visit, an outside telephone is available near the front door. If you need personal assistance, the Police Department (250 West Highway 20) is open 24 hours a day.
