PUBLIC WORKS

The City of Toledo Public Works department is responsible for maintaining the potable water distribution system, the wastewater collection system, the stormwater system, road side signage, fleet and equipment, grounds maintenance, parks and streets. The office of the Public Works Director is located at City Hall.

PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS

The Public Works department is responsible for a variety of improvement projects within  the City. The following are recently completed or ongoing projects:

2017 Slurry Seal Project

Butler Bridge Sewer Force Main Improvement Project

On Monday August 28, 2017, sealed bids for the Butler Bridge Sewer Force Main project were opened and read aloud; the tentative results are as follows:

  • Pacific Excavation –   $411,570.00
  • BRX, Inc. –                   $392,080.00
  • Kizer Excavation –      $387,255.00
  • Trenchline –                 $397,750.00

Staff is reviewing the submittals for completeness and accuracy with the expectations a formal request will be made to City Council on September 6, 2017 requesting the City negotiate with “Kizer Excavation” with the apparent low bid of $387,255.00.
