Disasters can can strike in many forms in our community, including major incidents such as flood, fire, earthquake, tsunami, and more localized events like explosions, chemical spills, water line breaks, downed power lines and trees.
Emergency preparedness is the responsibility of every community member in Toledo to ensure that individuals, families, and businesses are prepared for disasters and emergencies of any type; and all citizens are encouraged to make preparedness a priority, develop preparedness kits, participate in citizen preparedness activities.
The City Council is investing in the preparedness of our citizens, families and our businesses, communities to reduce fatalities and economic devastation in Toledo.
