The Urban Renewal District (URD) was established in 2021 to mission is to reduce/eliminate blight and depreciating property values in areas within the District's boundaries, and in the process, attract job producing investments that will improve property values and improve the Area's visual quality.
The URD is managed by an Urban Renewal Agency (URA) Board. The Toledo City Council operates as the URA Board with a Board President. The Agency is governed by goals and objectives specific to the Urban Renewal.
The City Manager serves as the URD Director. Currently, meetings will be held on an as needed basis, but will typically be scheduled before or after City Council meetings.
