Urban Renewal Agency

The Urban Renewal District (URD) was established in 2021 to mission is to reduce/eliminate blight and depreciating property values in areas within the District's boundaries, and in the process, attract job producing investments that will improve property values and improve the Area's visual quality. 

The URD is managed by an Urban Renewal Agency (URA) Board. The Toledo City Council operates as the URA Board with Rod Cross as the President and Joshua Smith as the Vice President. The Agency are governed by goals and objectives specific to the Urban Renewal. 

City Manager Judy Richter serves as the URD Director. Currently, meetings will be held on an as needed basis, but will be held before or after City Council meetings.
