The specific aim of the Public Works Administrative Division is to help policy makers, staff, and citizens make informed decisions about public works. The office of the Public Works Director is currently located in City Hall at 206 N Main Street, and can be reached via email at pwdirector@cityoftoledo.org or by telephone at (541) 336-2247 ext 2070.  

The primary mission of the Director is to protect the overall health and safety of the community while also supporting and enhancing economic development opportunities as they may be presented.  This is accomplished by:

  • Providing policy administration, direction, and management of the overall Department 
  • Implementing goals and policies by working with other City departments and Public Works divisions 

Specific activities of the Director include:

  • Reviewing work programs and schedules 
  • Developing and administering adopted department budget 
  • Representing the department at civic and governmental levels 
  • Providing inter-agency coordination 
  • Directing preparation of reports and making recommendations on issues of department and citywide significance
